A History of Success
Mr. Edgett comes from the town of Erie, Pennsylvania. While going to college,
he aspired to become a police officer with the intent of bettering the
lives of others in mind. He soon graduated from the police academy. However,
he soon realized that a career in law would allow him to reach even more
people, so he set out to get his law degree.
Scott Edgett earned his Bachelor's degree in political science and
criminal justice at Nova Southeastern University. Shortly after, he moved
to Broward County in Florida for law school. There, he served as a clerk
for the Honorable Patti Englander-Henning of the 17th judicial circuit
while also working full-time for an accomplished law firm in Fort Lauderdale.
In only two and a half short years, Mr. Edgett was a law school graduate.
After graduation, Scott stayed on at the firm, working on civil litigation
cases, including wrongful death, personal injury, medical malpractice,
and products liability. After helping injured individuals get compensation
for several years, Scott began to want to be in the courtroom as much
as possible. He shifted into working solely as a criminal defense lawyer,
fighting to preserve the Constitution and defending the rights of individuals
who need him most.
