Attorney Edgett handles both misdemeanors and felonies, taking the following types of cases and more:
- Sex crimes
- Theft crimes
- Drug possession
- Federal crimes
Over the years, he has defended thousands of clients, securing favorable outcomes and earning a good reputation with judges and district attorneys.
Prior to the Founding of His Firm
Attorney Edgett comes from the town of Erie, Pennsylvania. While attending college, he aspired to become a police officer with the intent of helping others. He soon graduated from the police academy, but soon realized that a career in law would allow him to reach even more people, so he set out to get his law degree.
After earning his Bachelor's degree in political science and criminal justice at Nova Southeastern University, he moved to Broward County for law school. There, he served as a clerk for the Honorable Patti Englander-Henning of the 17th judicial circuit while also working full-time for an accomplished law firm in Fort Lauderdale. In only two and a half short years, Attorney Edgett graduated law school.
Following law school, he spent time working on civil litigation cases, including:
- Wrongful death
- Personal injury
- Medical malpractice
- Products liability
After helping injured individuals recover compensation for several years, Scott developed a desire to be in the courtroom as much as possible. He shifted into working solely as a criminal defense lawyer, fighting to preserve the Constitution and defending the rights of individuals who need him most.
